Nikolas Fragko Biography

Born and raised in Crete, Greece, Nikolas Fragkos alias Sydo was introduced to the sounds of RnB and House music from an early age and became interested in DJing and producing music.  In 1998 he became one of the founding members, the DJ and producer of Face 2 Face.  In 2000 came their first CD single Panikos, which received excellent reviews (in music magazines and radio stations etc). Four times their single was sold out. Face2Face was regarded as the first genuine rap-metal group in the music scene of Greece and get full suport by Bands & Artist such as T.X.C, FF.C,Rasatar,Zn and more.
Sydo produced and mixed the first single of Lego Boy titled ‘Into your eyes’ (Deep House). In 2004 he traveled to Athens to work in music production studios (Warehouse etc) and on a variety of Sound Design projects. Over the years Sydo’s work has expanded from Assistant Sound Engineer and Studio sound recordist/engineer to Audio post-production and from Music producer to Sound designer for performance/live art.   In the year 2005 Sydo mixed the competition music for the Greek synchronised swimming team. He was also part of the team producing the advertising music for many local consumer products in Greece. He worked with variety of projects and artists in the past and that established himself as unique performance Dj artist in his home country Greece.
Since 2006 Sydo carries the legacy of Face 2 Face on, by producing and remixing music for other artists. In 2007 he went to London and had been part as Production Assistant and Sound Designer for Cwtch. The event had been organized on April 11 by ShowStudio in association with PlayStation 3 staged a live ’happening’, viewed by an on-site audience of fifty SHOWstudio viewers and an audience via webcast.

Many successful gigs with Face2Face took place on the island of Crete in the most famous Clubs. Their parties are honoured by the presence of guests i.e. Dj Sparky T (7x Nat. DMC Champ), G-Child, Dj Kayper etc., whose names appear in the list of the most important artists of the respective scene in Greece and Europe. On March 21, Sydo was with Face2Face guest in G-Child’s show ‘The RnB M1X Show” on 1Xtra BBC.

Having played in many clubs as Special Guest, his first residency was at famous  ”V – Club” in Vienna (Austria), also have been resident at O.B.Club, Star Beach and Amnesia Club (Greece). He is the founder of ”Stereo Flu’’, a project about advanced electronic music.

Upcoming Dj & Producer Sydo is the A&R Director of Traffic 91.8 FM (www.trafficfm.eu), who has been voted in theTop 50 hit music stations in Europe via internet streaming by The European Radio Broadcasting, also hosting some of the best DJs and Producers in the global dance scene such as : Armin Van Buuren, John Digweed, Eddie Halliwell, David Vendetta, Carl Cox, Ferry Corsten and many more.
Traffic FM is the exclusive radio host of Sydo, the man behind ”The Maggot Show’’ his Weekly Radio show every Wednesday 20:00 – 21:00 (GR Time).

His studio remains his favourite place where spending most of his time. As Dj, the clubs is the place where his trying his music and where he’s playing out Loud!!!
